Requirements
  • A High School Diploma or GED.
  • Up to 1 year of experience working with seniors is preferred.
  • At least 1 year of senior activity engagement experience is preferred.
  • Ability to use basic technology systems.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally.
Responsibilities
  • Advocate for and promote Life Enrichment services throughout the community.
  • Encourage and motivate residents to participate in daily activities and engagement opportunities.
  • Assist with administrative tasks, including copying, faxing, typing memoranda such as monthly calendars, and answering phones.
  • Lead and assist with group and one-on-one activities.
  • Assist with planning, developing, organizing, implementing, and evaluating activities and engagement opportunities.
  • Escort residents to and from activities and destinations.
  • Drive the community bus for Life Enrichment outings and resident medical appointments while following transportation safety guidelines, including assisting residents on and off the vehicle, securing assistive devices, and properly using the emergency contact list binder.
  • Complete required documentation, including service plan assessments, progress notes, activity attendance, and participation records, to comply with state and federal regulations and Ministry requirements.
  • Use the LifeLoop community engagement system.
  • Use the community medical records system.
  • Attend and participate in care plan, in-service, resident council, Life Enrichment department, and other meetings.
  • Assist with volunteers.
  • Assist with maintenance of the community pet where applicable.
  • Maintain an organized, clean, and neat environment for residents and activity engagement spaces.
  • Set up and clean up programs before and after scheduled and unscheduled programs.
  • Support seasonal, celebratory, and holiday community décor setup and cleanup.
  • Complete ongoing continuing education through the Relias platform and other required department or community training.
  • Help maintain adequate department supply inventory.
  • Support the training process for new associates within the department.
  • Comply with policies, procedures, and updates.
  • Perform other assigned duties.

  • Experience working with seniors.
  • At least 1 year of senior activity engagement experience.
  • Ability to communicate with residents, resident families and loved ones, third-party contractors and vendors, and community associates with joy, compassion, patience, and professionalism.
  • Ability to generate interest, excitement, and enthusiasm about community activities and events.
