About the job
- Experience in foreign exchange hedging and execution.
- Exposure to and experience with private capital fund managers.
- A proven track record of business development and revenue generation.
- Become familiar with Validus clients, marketing materials, and client engagement plans within one month.
- Become familiar with the internal infrastructure to ensure the client engagement cycle can be delivered effectively and efficiently within three months.
- Assist in two qualified prospect engagements within three months.
- Assist in six qualified prospect engagements within six months.
- Have at least one retainer or project signed within six months.
- Improve North American new-client business development efforts, including early-stage relationship management responsibilities with new clients.
- Originate revenue opportunities and manage deals from inception to conclusion, primarily by collaborating with Validus’s lead generation team and also through individual efforts.
- Contribute to excellence and consistency in service delivery across the North American client base.
- Proactively seek out and arrange sales meetings with new prospective clients for Validus service offerings, in conjunction with the Lead Origination and Marketing teams.
- Project-manage deal mandate pitching and presentations to clients where appropriate, in close liaison with Validus service delivery teams.
- Work with the Client Coverage team as a senior point of contact and help maintain high service-delivery standards across Validus teams during early-stage new-client relationships.
- Work alongside colleagues from Advisory, Global Capital Markets, and Technology teams to deliver new projects.
- Contribute to developing growth strategies and improving global sales processes using feedback from existing and prospective clients.
- Identify potential issues or areas for improvement and suggest solutions.
