Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree is required; a degree in Supply Chain or a Business-related field is preferred.
  • Three or more years of Supply Chain or Procurement experience is preferred, ideally in steel, metals, or another industrial distribution sector.
  • Computer literacy and proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word are required.
  • The ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment is required.
  • Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and problem-solving skills are required.
Responsibilities
  • Initiate inventory and material processing requisitions to support Supply Chain and Sales initiatives.
  • Evaluate offers and negotiate pricing and delivery schedules with suppliers and vendors.
  • Generate and manage purchase orders in the enterprise resource planning system.
  • Review order acknowledgements to ensure complete accuracy of order details.
  • Track and coordinate incoming shipments from suppliers and vendors.
  • Maintain and update team logs for open purchase orders, requests for quotation, supplier nonconformance reports, incoming vessels, and related items.
  • Review, verify, and approve invoices to ensure accuracy and on-time payment to suppliers.
  • Understand current mill replacement costs and lead times for all assigned suppliers.
  • Become familiar with the steelmaking process and Tube Supply and industry specifications.
  • Maintain and strengthen relationships with key suppliers.
  • Collaborate daily with sales, operations, and finance teams.
  • Develop and propose continuous improvement initiatives to enhance Supply Chain processes.
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures.
  • Perform other responsibilities assigned by management.
Desired Qualifications
  • Three or more years of Supply Chain or Procurement experience, ideally in steel, metals, or another industrial distribution sector.
  • A bachelor's degree in Supply Chain or a Business-related field.
  • Bilingual ability.
