Requirements

A four- to five-year apprenticeship or equivalent on-the-job training is required.
A journeyman plumbing license for applicable states where work is performed is preferred; an applicable city license may also be required.
A valid driver's license may be required, and if required, the employee must maintain a good driving record.

Responsibilities

Inspect, assemble, install, repair, and replace pipes, fittings, and plumbing fixtures to maintain continuous operation of drainage, piping, and stationary equipment according to specifications or plumbing codes.
Follow established safety rules and regulations and maintain a safe and clean environment.

Summary

The Journeyman Plumber inspects, assembles, installs, repairs and replaces pipes, fittings, and plumbing fixtures to maintain to ensure continuous operation of drainage, piping and stationary equipment according to specifications or plumbing codes.
