Requirements
  • Two or more completed cold storage/freezer-cooler renovation or ground-up projects are ideally desired.
  • A strong project safety record and commitment to safety and quality are required.
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, decision-making, prioritization, leadership, and self-motivation skills are required.
  • The candidate must be willing to travel or relocate to jobsite locations.
  • The candidate must be able to mentor junior team members and handle stressful situations while identifying timely solutions.
  • A Bachelor of Science degree in Construction Management or Engineering, or equivalent trade experience with progression to management levels, is required.
  • At least five years of experience in complicated commercial or industrial construction project management is required.
  • The candidate must be authorized to work for any employer in the United States.
  • The selected candidate must complete a comprehensive background check, including mandatory drug testing.
Responsibilities
  • Establish and enforce safety programs and drive accident-free worksites.
  • Review project drawings to identify and address coordination issues within contract documents.
  • Oversee collaboration between subcontractors and the PEAK team.
  • Own the field portion of the project budget, manage costs, and make financial decisions.
  • Develop and use detailed schedules to track project progress weekly or daily.
  • Enhance computer skills and understanding of PEAK software to optimize workflow and project execution.
  • Evolve corporate safety, quality, and scheduling standards and implement corporate policies to comply with industry regulations.
  • Oversee accident- and incident-free project execution, perform weekly safety audits, support third-party safety consultant reviews, and follow up on findings.
  • Manage project quality control, municipal inspections, inspection documentation, and punch list resolution.
  • Own contractual schedule requirements and develop and manage weekly lookahead schedules aligned with the master project schedule.
  • Work with Project Management during pre-construction, procurement, and initial phases to establish critical path timelines for resource acquisition.
  • Lead safety training initiatives, new-worker orientations, and ongoing communication with subcontractors.
  • Maintain daily reports and reinforce industry best practices across job sites.
  • Build relationships with subcontractors, municipal inspectors, end users, and third-party consultants.
  • Use PEAK technology platforms to manage schedules, administer budgets, and oversee procurement processes.
