Requirements

A bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Assurance, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related discipline is required.
At least 10 years of cybersecurity experience is required, including at least 5 years serving as an Information System Security Manager or senior Risk Management Framework lead for Department of Defense systems.
Experience with Authorization to Operate, Authorization to Connect, eMASS, Plans of Action and Milestones, System Security Plan, Information Security Continuous Monitoring, and Authorizing Official/Security Control Assessor coordination is required.
Security+ certification is required; CAP, CASP+, or CISM are acceptable alternatives depending on the final request for proposal.
The candidate must meet Department of Cybersecurity Workforce Framework Information System Security Manager work role 722 at the required proficiency level.
Intermediate to advanced skills in the Microsoft Office software suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint, are required.
The candidate must be able to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and outside contacts.
The candidate must have strong interpersonal skills and good judgment, with the ability to work alone or as part of a team.
The candidate must be able to lift up to 25 pounds.
The candidate must be able to stand and walk for prolonged amounts of time.
The candidate must be able to twist, bend, and squat periodically.
The candidate must be able to maintain a security clearance at the Secret level.
U.S. citizenship is required for the Secret clearance at this location.

Overview

INFORMATION SYSTEM SECURITY MANAGER (CASBES):

Bowhead seeks an Information System Security Manager (ISSM) to support the upcoming Cloud Acceleration Services (CAS) Business Enterprise Systems (BES) located in Montgomery, AL. The ISSM will act as the primary cybersecurity technical advisor to the AO, PM, ISO, SCA, and PMO/CDT.

Responsibilities

Ensure cybersecurity is integrated throughout the lifecycle.
Maintain authorization documentation, oversee ISCM, and manage POA&Ms.
Coordinate remediation and reports security-relevant events.
Ensure ISSOs and privileged users meet training/certification requirements.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Assurance, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related discipline.
Ten (10+) years cybersecurity experience; five (5+) years serving as ISSM or senior RMF lead for DoD systems; experience with ATO/ATC, eMASS, POA&M, SSP, ISCM, and AO/SCA coordination.
Certification: CISSP required/preferred; Security+ required; CAP/CASP+/CISM acceptable alternatives depending final RFP. Must meet DCWF ISSM work role 722 at the required proficiency level.
Intermediate to advanced level skills in Microsoft Office software suite - Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint.
Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and outside contacts.
