About the job
- A bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Assurance, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related discipline is required.
- At least 10 years of cybersecurity experience is required, including at least 5 years serving as an Information System Security Manager or senior Risk Management Framework lead for Department of Defense systems.
- Experience with Authorization to Operate, Authorization to Connect, eMASS, Plans of Action and Milestones, System Security Plan, Information Security Continuous Monitoring, and Authorizing Official/Security Control Assessor coordination is required.
- Security+ certification is required; CAP, CASP+, or CISM are acceptable alternatives depending on the final request for proposal.
- The candidate must meet Department of Cybersecurity Workforce Framework Information System Security Manager work role 722 at the required proficiency level.
- Intermediate to advanced skills in the Microsoft Office software suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint, are required.
- The candidate must be able to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and outside contacts.
- The candidate must have strong interpersonal skills and good judgment, with the ability to work alone or as part of a team.
- The candidate must be able to lift up to 25 pounds.
- The candidate must be able to stand and walk for prolonged amounts of time.
- The candidate must be able to twist, bend, and squat periodically.
- The candidate must be able to maintain a security clearance at the Secret level.
- U.S. citizenship is required for the Secret clearance at this location.
- Ensure cybersecurity is integrated throughout the system lifecycle.
- Maintain authorization documentation, oversee Information Security Continuous Monitoring, and manage Plans of Action and Milestones.
- Coordinate remediation and report security-relevant events.
- Ensure Information System Security Officers and privileged users meet training and certification requirements.
- CISSP certification is preferred.
- Top Secret security clearance is preferred.
