Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in social work, counseling, finance, human services, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of financial literacy concepts and resources.
  • Fluency in English.
  • Ability to manage an independent caseload and produce results after orientation and training.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to analyze and use data to inform decision-making.
  • Intermediate to advanced computer, internet, and email skills.
  • Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office and Canvas.
  • Ability to create and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans and activities.
  • Ability to effectively manage classroom dynamics and behavior.
Responsibilities
  • Conduct assessments to identify clients' economic challenges and goals.
  • Develop and implement personalized action plans to help clients achieve financial stability.
  • Provide one-on-one counseling sessions to guide clients through financial decision-making processes.
  • Connect clients with community resources, job training programs, and educational opportunities.
  • Monitor client progress and adjust action plans as necessary to ensure success.
  • Facilitate workshops and group sessions on financial literacy, budgeting, and career development.
  • Collaborate with community organizations and stakeholders to enhance service delivery.
  • Maintain accurate records of client interactions and progress in compliance with organizational policies.
  • Comply with enrollment goals and metrics for economic mobility initiatives and programs.
  • Connect families with social networks that help them advance their economic mobility goals.
  • Research and identify resources for families when an existing referral is not available, and share findings with the team.
  • Manage an independent calendar and caseload after orientation and training.
  • Attend team meetings three times a week to discuss cases, resources, and logistics.
  • Complete other duties assigned by the supervisor.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience in counseling, social services, or economic development.
  • Experience serving families connected to Head Start, Early Head Start, or housing counseling programs.
  • Bilingual English and Spanish proficiency.
  • Empathy and a commitment to helping others achieve their goals.
