About the company

Dominion Dynamics designs defense tech for Arctic and austere environments, focusing on command-and-control and autonomous systems. AuraNet is a real-time software platform that fuses Arctic-hardened sensors and communications into a single operating picture, while Scout is an Autonomous Collaborative Platform that lets crewed and unmanned systems work together in harsh settings. The company distinguishes itself by targeting cold-weather deployments with integrated sensor nets and edge-enabled processing, staffed by experienced defense and tech professionals. Its goal is to advance C2 and autonomous capabilities for extreme environments and to grow AuraNet and Scout through funding and partnerships.

What believers are saying

  • June 30, 2026 Series A raised C$139 million from Georgian, OMERS, BDC, RBC.
  • Toronto office and Kanata factory support faster deployment and hardware iteration.
  • Denvr partnership builds sovereign AI simulation for Scout before expensive flight testing.

What critics are saying

  • Scout still lacks first flight; jobs posts on September 12, 2026 confirm concept stage.
  • Kanata production ramp must hit 200 staff targets by year-end or miss contracts.
  • If DND procurement slips after Nanook trials, Dominion becomes an overfunded demo shop.

What makes Dominion Dynamics unique

  • AuraNet proved in Operation Nanook-Nunalivut 2026 with Canadian Rangers.
  • Dominion pairs Arctic sensors, comms, and C2 into one software layer.
  • Scout targets loyal-wingman missions for F-35s, not generic drones.

Dominion Dynamics and TENCORE partner to manufacture uncrewed ground vehicles in Canada for Ukraine, adding Canadian autonomy stack.

Dominion Dynamics and TENCORE partner to manufacture uncrewed ground vehicles in Canada for Ukraine, adding Canadian autonomy stack. Oct 13, 2026, 15:24 ET AuraNet, Dominion's Arctic-hardened autonomy stack, will serve as the onboard intelligence layer for TENCORE's TerMIT, with companies targeting 2027 production OTTAWA, ON, Oct. 13, 2026 /CNW/ - Dominion Dynamics, an Ottawa-based defence technology company, and TENCORE, a Ukrainian leader in defence technologies, today signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to manufacture TENCORE's TerMIT uncrewed ground vehicle (UGV) in Canada and integrate AuraNet, Dominion's autonomy stack for pan-domain command and control. The partnership will support the deployment and continued development of AuraNet for Ukraine's front lines. It will also create high-skilled jobs in Canada and strengthen Canada's sovereign defence technology base. The MoU follows a joint declaration on defence cooperation that Prime Minister Mark Carney and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy signed in September. Both nations committed to manufacturing thousands of battle-tested drones and uncrewed systems in the next two years, with one-third earmarked for Ukraine's defence. "When Prime Minister Carney and President Zelenskyy committed our countries to build together, they gave industry a mission. Canada has the workforce and the suppliers to build at scale. This agreement is how two companies start turning that commitment into vehicles, and we intend to move fast," said Eliot Pence, founder and CEO of Dominion Dynamics. The companies signed the agreement at the Canada Pavilion during the AUSA 2026 defence conference in Washington, DC. Nadia Theodore, Canada's Deputy Ambassador to the United States, attended the signing ceremony. Dominion plans to manufacture TerMIT in Canadian facilities with initial production targeted for 2027. A TENCORE team will lead the initial technology transfer and train technicians in Canada to build its UGV. Since 2024, TENCORE has delivered more than 5,000 UGVs to Ukrainian military units. TENCORE co-founder Roman Tkachenko said the pace of the war has reshaped how his company operates. "The biggest lesson from Ukraine is speed," said Tkachenko. "Battlefield requirements change in weeks, so production, operational feedback and engineering have to run as a loop: build, deploy, learn, change, scale. Canada gives us the manufacturing base, suppliers and reliable power to run that loop alongside allies who need these vehicles." Dominion also aims to develop an Arctic-hardened TerMIT for Canadian operations and for export to NATO allies. The companies will continue to work toward definitive agreements. ABOUT DOMINION DYNAMICS Dominion Dynamics is an Ottawa-based defence technology company building the autonomy, sensing and command and control systems needed to secure Canada and its allies in the world's most demanding environments. Canada's Dominion Dynamics raises $51.6M to build autonomous combat aircraft for Arctic ops

Dominion Dynamics, an Ottawa-based defence technology startup, has secured C$50 million from Canada's National Research Council and C$21 million in seed funding led by Georgian to develop Canada's first autonomous combat aircraft. The round included participation from Bessemer Venture Partners and British Columbia Investment Management Corporation. Founded by former Anduril Industries executive Erik Pence, the company is developing an Autonomous Collaborative Platform designed to operate alongside Royal Canadian Air Force F-35A fighters in Arctic missions. The delta-wing aircraft, internally called "Scout", will carry heavy weapons payloads and operate over thousands of miles using satellite communications. Dominion Dynamics plans to complete a subscale prototype within 18 months and is relocating to a 35,000-square-foot facility near Ottawa on 1 June to support manufacturing and testing.

Dominion Dynamics partners with Denvr to build Canada's first sovereign AI simulation environment for autonomous aircraft

Dominion Dynamics and Denvr have partnered to develop Canada's first sovereign AI simulation environment for Autonomous Collaborative Platforms (ACPs), unmanned aircraft designed to support next-generation crewed fighter jets. The announcement follows Dominion's $50 million initial investment in ACP development earlier this month. The simulation environment will be built on Denvr's Canada AI Platform, a fully sovereign AI Trust Platform designed for classified workloads. The Alberta-based platform operates entirely within Canadian jurisdiction, eliminating exposure to foreign legislation. Dominion Dynamics is a founding partner of the CAIP Defence Coalition, a consortium of Canadian defence technology companies building a national AI platform for defence. The company completed a $21 million seed round in January and is conducting Arctic trials with the Canadian Rangers.
