IGEL partners with Menlo Security to strengthen Zero Trust-Aligned secure access from Endpoint to Browser. Aug 12, 2026, 09:00 ET The joint solution strengthens endpoint-to-browser security while helping organizations optimize VDI use for supported browser and SaaS workflows FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla., Aug. 12, 2026 /CNW/ - IGEL(R), a global software company delivering the IGEL Adaptive Secure Endpoint Platform(TM), and Menlo Security, the leader in Browser Security for human and agentic workforces, today announced a partnership that delivers end-to-end secure access from endpoint to enterprise applications. The joint solution pairs the IGEL Adaptive Secure Endpoint Platform(TM) with Menlo Secure Application Access (SAA), helping organizations reduce unnecessary VDI dependency for browser-first workflows, reduce endpoint agent sprawl, and support Zero Trust-aligned access across web and SaaS workflows. Closing the Endpoint-to-Browser Security Gap Security architects face a critical challenge: many endpoint security models still treat device posture and browser access as separate control points, despite most work now happening in the browser through cloud and web applications. That gap is widening as AI agents begin working alongside employees in the browser, introducing new browser-based activity patterns that legacy endpoints and access controls were not designed to govern. The IGEL and Menlo Security partnership addresses this gap by creating a coordinated trust model that begins with the endpoint and extends into browser-based application access. "The future of enterprise computing is browser-first, but browser security is only as strong as the operating system beneath it," said Jim Airdo, Senior Vice President of Strategic Alliances at IGEL. "IGEL is the secure OS foundation for modern application access, providing the trusted platform organizations need to confidently embrace browser-delivered workspaces. Together with the Menlo Browser Security Platform, we're delivering end-to-end protection that unifies endpoint and browser security into a single, resilient Zero Trust architecture." The joint solution reduces common integration and operational challenges that arise when endpoint and web security operate independently. Rather than adding more endpoint agents or routing browser-first workflows through full VDI sessions, security architects can align endpoint governance with browser-based access controls across the entire access path. Architecture Built for Simplicity and Scale With today's announcement, IGEL and Menlo Security are delivering a joint solution that combines IGEL-powered endpoints with Menlo Secure Application Access, providing three core architectural advantages: * Coordinated Zero Trust-Aligned Control Plane: IGEL's Preventative Security Model(R) helps establish a trusted endpoint foundation by reducing endpoint attack surfaces and limiting unnecessary risk before access occurs. Menlo SAA complements that foundation by applying least-privilege access controls for web and SaaS applications. Together, security teams can align endpoint governance through the Universal Management Suite(TM)(UMS(TM) with browser and SaaS access policies enforced through Menlo SAA, replacing disconnected endpoint and access workflows with a more coordinated security operating model. * Clientless Application Access: Organizations can secure access to business-critical applications for supported browser and SaaS access patterns without deploying additional endpoint agents or extending VDI infrastructure to workflows that can be securely delivered through the browser. This helps reduce endpoint agent sprawl and infrastructure complexity while simplifying deployment across diverse endpoint environments. * Streamlined Management: Security architects can leverage the UMS(TM) for centralized endpoint control while applying Menlo's browser-based security policies through existing identity providers and security orchestration tools. "Together, IGEL and Menlo give security teams one coordinated path from the device to the application, so they can extend Zero Trust everywhere their people and AI agents work without stacking endpoint agents or standing up VDI," said Aayush Agarwal, Director of Product Management at Menlo Security. "Securing the browser is now central to securing the enterprise, and we are building the Menlo Browser Security Platform to be the foundation that leading endpoint and infrastructure partners like IGEL can extend their own value on." Measurable Business Impact Organizations implementing the joint solution can expect specific operational improvements: * Enhanced Security Posture: Coordinated Zero Trust-aligned controls from endpoint to application reduce common gaps between device trust, credential use, and browser-based application access. * Simplified Architecture: Fewer endpoint agents and access-path integration points reduce both technical complexity and operational risk. * Reduced Total Cost of Ownership (TCO): More targeted use of VDI infrastructure for the workloads that require it, while browser and SaaS workflows can move to a simpler secure access model to improve IT efficiency. The joint solution supports immediate deployment for organizations seeking to modernize VDI environments or strengthen existing endpoint security investments with comprehensive web application protection. How Menlo Security secures AI agents from prompt injection. Post Views: 15 Organizations are rapidly integrating AI agents such as Microsoft Copilot, Google Gemini, and Claude Code into their workflows without adequate security measures in place, creating vulnerabilities that threat actors are actively exploiting. Ramin Farassat discusses Menlo Security's approach. Attackers are leveraging prompt injection techniques to embed hidden instructions within web content, documents, and even image files, which AI systems process and execute without human detection. These malicious inputs bypass traditional security controls by targeting the data streams that AI agents interact with rather than the models themselves. The threat landscape. The threat landscape for AI agents involves sophisticated methods where attackers manipulate input channels to inject malicious commands. These techniques can compromise data integrity, execute unauthorized actions, or exfiltrate sensitive information. Menlo Security's solution: MARS. Menlo Security has developed Menlo Agent Runtime Security (MARS) to address this emerging risk. The solution operates by isolating every AI agent session within a secure cloud environment, where content is analyzed and sanitized before being processed by the agent. This approach ensures that potentially harmful inputs are neutralized before they can influence the AI's behavior. Key features of MARS. MARS is now available for deployment, offering enterprises a proactive defense against prompt injection threats. The platform's architecture prioritizes real-time content analysis, ensuring that AI agents operate within a trusted boundary. This strategy aligns with broader efforts to secure AI ecosystems as their adoption expands across industries. Expert insights from ramin Farassat. Ramin Farassat, Menlo Security's Chief Product Officer, emphasized that the primary security gaps reside in the connectors and integrations that link AI models to external data sources, rather than the models' core architectures. Security teams must implement controls that monitor and restrict the attack surface of agentic AI systems without hindering their functionality. "By focusing on the environments where AI agents interact with data, organizations can mitigate risks while maintaining operational efficiency." Availability and events. Menlo Security is showcasing the solution at Black Hat USA (Booth #4702, Mandalay Bay) and Ai4 (Booth #424, The Venetian) from August 4-6 in Las Vegas. The platform's architecture prioritizes real-time content analysis, ensuring that AI agents operate within a trusted boundary.
Zero Trust Isolation for federal cybersecurity | Mission First Cyber + Menlo. In its recent fireside chat with Menlo Security, Jason Miller (CEO/founder of Mission First Cyber) and Justin Valdes (Senior Leader at Menlo Security) sat down to talk through one of the most pressing challenges in federal cybersecurity today: how to protect agencies in an era of AI acceleration, rising data leakage risks, and increasingly sophisticated phishing and web-based threats. The conversation quickly revealed a central truth: agencies can no longer rely on detection-based security alone. AI-generated attacks are too fast, too evasive, and too scalable. Zero Trust Isolation is now a critical requirement for federal cybersecurity, enabling agencies to prevent threats before they ever reach users. That's why the Mission First Cyber and Menlo Security partnership focuses on a new security model built on Zero Trust, application isolation, intelligent DLP, and integrator-led deployment that works across federal environments (including DoD, DISA, and those navigating GSA procurement). AI Is Increasing Data Leakage Risk, Zero Trust Isolation Is the Only Reliable Defense AI is amplifying the data-leakage problem across federal mission environments. When users interact with AI tools, upload documents, or paste sensitive information into LLMs, traditional DLP tools struggle to keep up. Menlo's Zero Trust Isolation-first approach provides a fundamentally different level of protection: * All web sessions run in a remote, isolated environment * Sensitive data is kept away from external applications * Malicious links and AI-generated phishing pages are neutralized before reaching users * Agencies can enforce AI usage controls without slowing down the mission This Zero Trust Isolation model is critical as agencies explore AI technologies (gaining traction across DoD and DISA) and require strict isolation and data-flow guardrails. Where Real Threats Are Coming From The nature of browser and email threats have changed. AI is now crafting phishing pages nearly indistinguishable from the real thing. Malicious scripts can be dynamically rewritten to avoid detection. Credential harvesting pages adapt in real time, and weaponized files can be generated on demand. Traditional tools struggle to keep up, but Zero Trust Isolation prevents these attacks entirely by ensuring no risky web content ever executes on the endpoint. The Costs vs. Benefits Conversation Is Changing A major theme of the chat is centered around cost. Agencies want AI-enabled cyber solutions, but they can't take on new risk, new complexity, or ballooning budgets. Isolation architectures, especially those built on Zero Trust Isolation, often reduce long-term program costs: * Fewer incidents | lower operational overhead * Less legacy infrastructure | reduced maintenance * Fewer emergency response engagements | lower contingency spending Through fixed-price models, agencies know exactly where responsibility lies. How VARs Bring Real Value Too often, cyber vendors underestimate the complexity of deploying technology inside federal environments. That's exactly where Mission First Cyber excels. Instead of simply moving product, Missionfirstcyber focus on making solutions operational, aligned to mission requirements, security frameworks, and the realities of federal networks. Its work ensures technologies like Zero Trust Isolation aren't just purchased, but fully integrated, mission-ready, and optimized for the environments they're entering. For Missionfirstcyber, it's never about the transaction. It's about making the solution work where it matters. What Menlo Can Do Today, and What's Coming Next During the conversation, Menlo highlighted its current strengths: * Zero Trust Isolation for all browser activity * URL filtering and inline policy enforcement * AI-driven DLP with contextual controls * Phishing and credential theft prevention * File and application isolation * Real-time threat prevention without relying on signatures Future Advancements * Deeper AI-powered classification and automated policy tuning * Expanded integrations with LLM platforms * Enhanced support for high-security DoD and DISA environments * Broader ecosystem integrations for multi-vendor architectures * More granular controls for agency-specific AI use cases Better Together Menlo Security and Mission First Cyber deliver a fast, low-friction path to Zero Trust Isolation. Simple deployment, seamless integration with existing federal tools, and mission-aligned policy tuning from day one. Together, Missionfirstcyber provide a turnkey Zero Trust Isolation-based security layer that agencies can roll out quickly, even under pressure. The result: stronger protection, reduced operational burden, and a future-ready foundation for AI-driven cyber defense.
