Simplify's Take

What believers are saying

  • Beam partnered with Clasp on 2026-04-29 to sell ancillary benefits through payroll.
  • Clasp's docs were updated 2026-08-04, signaling active product development and implementation work.
  • Public 2025-2026 hiring posts show engineering and partnerships demand across thirteen roles.

What critics are saying

  • Clasp's 2026 moat depends on carrier and payroll partners who can tighten API access.
  • Rippling, Gusto, and Paychex already own payroll workflows; brokers can bypass Clasp by 2026.
  • If 2026 embedded-benefits adoption slows, Clasp's tiny funding base cannot survive a long sales cycle.

What makes Clasp unique

  • Clasp's 2026 API, SDK, and MCP server embed benefits administration into existing products.
  • Clasp integrates major carriers and payroll deductions, compressing enrollment and compliance workflows.
  • Clasp's white-label employer component lets brokers self-serve onboarding inside their own platforms.
