Requirements
  • A degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program is required.
  • Current South Carolina licensure is required.
  • National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) certification is required.
  • Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification or American Red Cross Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers certification is required.
  • New graduates or candidates with less than one year of applicable experience are eligible.
  • The role requires continuous standing, sitting, walking, indoor work, use of both legs, gross and fine hand manipulation, reaching, repetitive motion, corrected 20/40 vision, object recognition, color discrimination, depth perception, peripheral vision, hearing acuity, tactile sensory function, and gross- and fine-motor coordination.
  • The role requires frequent balance and lower-extremity coordination, grasping, force exertion up to 50 pounds, overhead and multidirectional reaching, twisting, squatting, stress management, rotating shifts, and overtime as required.
  • The role requires infrequent climbing stairs, outdoor work in temperature extremes, work from elevated areas, kneeling, lifting or carrying 50 pounds unassisted, lifting or lowering 50 pounds from floor level, and lifting up to 25 pounds overhead.
  • Selected positions require continuous olfactory function and respirator-use qualification.
  • The position requires a latex-safe work environment.
Responsibilities
  • Evaluate and treat patients for occupational therapy needs.
  • Develop treatment plans based on patient assessments.
  • Function as a staff therapist under the general supervision of the lead therapist.
  • Provide care to infant, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patient populations across neurologic, orthopedic, post-surgical, pediatric, and medically complex diagnoses in inpatient and outpatient settings throughout the hospital system.

  • Greater than one year of applicable experience is preferred.
