About the job

Requirements
  • At least 6 years of product management experience, ideally including at least 2 years building AI, machine learning, or large language model-powered products.
  • Have been an engineer or have product experience deep enough to demonstrate architectural instincts and technical credibility with engineers; be able to read code and assess system design and tradeoffs.
  • Be comfortable with API design, system architecture, and prompt engineering conversations, and be able to work with data and draw conclusions.
  • Have hands-on experience with large language model APIs such as OpenAI or Anthropic, embeddings, vector stores, tool use, prompt design, and evaluation.
  • Be willing to prototype, write, ship, dogfood products, and examine logs to understand agent failures.
  • Demonstrate product convictions while remaining receptive to disagreement and new evidence.
  • Understand how products drive business outcomes and be accountable for customer satisfaction, engagement, and conversion of design partners and prospects into successful deals.
  • Be comfortable solving hard, ambiguous problems.
Responsibilities
  • Own a meaningful surface area of the new AI-native product line.
  • Shape how engineers collaborate with agents, including delegating work, providing context, reviewing results, and building trust in agent outputs; develop intelligence and evaluation capabilities; or connect agentic workflows to Faros's engineering context.
  • Form hypotheses about market direction, collaborate with designers and engineers to turn hypotheses into working products, put products in front of customers, and learn quickly.
  • Experiment with models and tools, prototype ideas, talk to customers, investigate agent successes and failures, and develop a point of view on product quality.
  • Drive the product domain end to end and help create a new growth engine for Faros.
Desired Qualifications
  • Startup experience.
  • Experience in developer tools, engineering productivity, development infrastructure, coding assistants, or agent platforms.
  • Experience shipping a product at a Series A or Series B startup.
  • Experience building products where humans and AI agents collaborate on the same work.
  • Experimentation with AI-native tools such as Cursor, Claude Code, Codex, Devin, v0, or Replit Agent, and opinions on their strengths and weaknesses.
  • Experience building and running evaluation frameworks for an agentic or large language model-powered product in production.
  • A Computer Science degree or equivalent engineering background.

About the company

Faros AI provides a data analytics platform for engineering teams, offering a single-pane view of metrics like velocity, quality, and goals to measure productivity and quality. What believers are saying

  • The April 2026 Acceleration Whiplash report makes Faros a cited authority on AI engineering.
  • Globant’s December 2024 partnership expands enterprise reach into agentic AI projects.
  • Azure integration reduces procurement friction and supports regulated customers in Europe.

What critics are saying

  • Faros’ own 2026 report shows 861% more code churn and 242.7% more incidents-to-PR.
  • Microsoft and GitHub can bundle engineering analytics, compressing Faros’ differentiation by 2027.
  • If AI adoption slows after quality regressions, Faros’ ARR growth weakens quickly.

What makes Faros AI unique

  • Faros AI’s 2026 report uses telemetry from 22,000 developers across 4,000 teams.
  • Microsoft Azure marketplace availability gives Faros enterprise distribution and MACC procurement leverage.
  • Faros’ control plane links code, people, and systems, not just dashboards.
