Overview:
We’re looking for a self-motivated and energetic doer to build up the foundations of our HR function. As the Human Resources Manager, you’ll partner with the Head of Finance & Operations and with all of our business units including sales, marketing, engineering and product and guide the leadership team on process and best practice. You’ll be a subject matter expert and be an integral part of decision making as well as a steady hand in executing and operationalizing our HR function. About the Role:
- Hold primary responsibility for our core HR functions.
- HR Business Partner: Work with our business units and managers to maximize employee happiness, coach leaders on ideal team structures, and guide managers on how to work with their direct reports.
- Organization Development & Learning: Create and implement the vision on how we support skills development. Train our managers on effective leadership.
- Information Systems: Maximize our systems (Justworks, Rippling, etc.)
- Work with Recruiting and our employees to create a performance-driven and employee-focused culture that is capable of achieving our lofty goals.
- Plan, drive and implement strategic HR projects to set us up for long-term success. Examples include:
- Updating our performance review process to emphasize transparency of expectations and achievement, two-way communication, and career development.
- Create the development plan for first-time managers to turn top-class individuals into top-class leaders.
- Be the bridge between leadership, managers, and individual contributors and help everyone see around corners. Identify and resolve potential issues before they happen.
About You:
- 3-6 years of experience in human resources (HRBP, HRG, HR Manager type roles).
- Have a vision for the HR function and processes and the drive to implement that vision with support from the business.
- Experience and aptitude with working with several business units and teams, able to understand and put together multiple perspectives and marry different objectives together.
- Execution focus, desire and drive to roll up your sleeves and dig into the details.
- Super organized personally and able to implement organization for others through project management and structured planning.
- Great communicator across a range of audiences including commercial and technical functions, ICs, managers, and c-suite.
- Based locally in NYC and open to a hybrid working environment requiring at least 3 days in-office per week (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday).

The compensation for this role is targeted at $100,000-$120,000, plus equity.
