Requirements
  • The candidate must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • The candidate must have at least one year of mortgage, sales, real estate, or banking experience.
  • The candidate must be able to travel.
  • The candidate must register with the National Mortgage Licensing System under the S.A.F.E. Act of 2008 and Regulation Z, including completing criminal background and credit checks.
  • The candidate must spend at least two hours driving per week.
Responsibilities
  • Originate mortgage loans in an assigned non-bank territory.
  • Take mortgage loan applications and conduct preliminary underwriting reviews.
  • Submit loan applications to processing and underwriting for approval.
  • Follow up to secure documents required for processing, underwriting, and closing from appropriate sources.
  • Solicit loan sales and conduct sales-related activities away from U.S. Bank locations for at least 50% of working time.
Desired Qualifications
  • The candidate should have well-developed sales ability.
  • The candidate should have basic knowledge of pricing and underwriting requirements for various mortgage insurance companies.
  • The candidate should have working knowledge of underwriting requirements for Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, the Federal Housing Administration, the Department of Veterans Affairs, local bonding programs, and private investors.
  • The candidate should have basic knowledge of local, state, and national laws, including zoning ordinances, Truth in Lending, the Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act, and energy audit requirements.
  • The candidate should be able to work independently.
  • The candidate should be able to analyze financial information.
  • The candidate should have effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • The candidate should have an established referral base within the assigned market.
  • The candidate should have two years of mortgage loan origination experience with proven results.

U.S. Bancorp posts record $7.7B revenue, raises 2026 outlook to 7-9% growth on BTIG strength

U.S. Bancorp reported strong second-quarter 2026 results, with earnings per share of $1.35, up approximately 22% year-over-year, and record net revenue of $7.7 billion. Return on tangible common equity reached 18.7%, whilst the efficiency ratio improved to 57.1%. Fee income rose 13.2% year-over-year, driven by the recently completed BTIG acquisition. BTIG generated approximately $98 million in revenue during its first month, the strongest monthly performance in its history. The company expects BTIG to contribute roughly $200 million per quarter in the second half of 2026. Average loans totalled $405 billion, up 7.1% year-over-year. Net interest income increased 7.5% to $4.4 billion. The bank raised its 2026 revenue outlook to 7% to 9% growth, up from the previous 4% to 6% range.
