Requirements
  • Lecturer candidates must have an M.A. in Criminal Justice, Criminology, or a related field.
  • Candidates possessing a J.D. will also be considered.
  • Teaching Assistant Professor candidates must have a Ph.D. in Criminal Justice, Criminology, or a related field.
  • Candidates must demonstrate the potential for excellence in teaching and service.
  • Candidates must submit a complete curriculum vitae, a cover letter outlining qualifications and teaching experience and explaining how they would contribute to the college’s mission, and a statement of teaching philosophy and experience.
Responsibilities
  • Teach a 4-4 course load.
  • Contribute primarily to the on-ground and online undergraduate programs.
  • Perform service responsibilities.
  • Engage in professional development.
Desired Qualifications
  • An M.A. or Ph.D. in Criminal Justice, Criminology, or a related field.
  • Evidence of prior teaching experience.
  • Ability to teach Criminal Law, Criminal Justice Policy, and other core courses across the Criminal Justice curriculum.
