- Experience with healthcare scheduling, home health, or Private Duty Nursing is preferred.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and follow HIPAA guidelines when handling client and employee information.
- Coordinate and maintain daily and weekly nursing schedules for Private Duty Nursing clients.
- Schedule nurses according to client needs, authorized hours, skill requirements, and nurse availability.
- Communicate regularly with nurses and families regarding schedule changes, staffing updates, and coverage needs.
- Work closely with Case Managers and clinical leadership to identify staffing priorities and ensure continuity of care.
- Assist with filling open shifts due to call-outs, schedule changes, vacations, and staffing needs.
- Maintain accurate schedules within the scheduling system and ensure all updates are completed timely.
- Review schedules to ensure coverage aligns with client authorization and Plan of Care requirements.
- Track open shifts and proactively communicate staffing challenges to leadership.
- Partner with recruiting and clinical teams regarding high-priority staffing needs and nurse availability.
- Build positive relationships with field nurses to improve engagement, communication, and retention.
- Provide customer service to clients, families, and internal team members.
- Monitor schedule accuracy to support payroll, billing, and compliance processes.
- Participate in rotating on-call responsibilities to assist with after-hours scheduling needs, nurse call-outs, and urgent coverage concerns.
- Complete additional administrative duties and special projects as assigned.
