Requirements
  • An Associate's Degree is required; appropriate experience may be substituted for education on an equivalent basis.
  • At least 1 year of experience is required.
  • CITI training must be completed within 90 days of hire.
  • Knowledge of biology, chemistry, mathematics, documentation, and records management is required.
  • The role requires data utilization, complex problem solving, critical thinking, resource management, and writing skills.
  • The ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, nights, and/or weekends, is required.
  • The ability to occasionally lift moderate-weight materials and to stand or walk continuously is required.
  • The ability to detect and translate speech or other communication is required; occasional color distinction and relative-distance perception may also be required.
Responsibilities
  • Recruit, screen, enroll, and obtain consent from program participants, and conduct or coordinate participant training.
  • Coordinate research protocols by arranging necessary appointments and procedures, collaborating with other departments and institutions, and maintaining contact with study participants.
  • Collect, analyze, and disseminate program data, and report program data and progress to stakeholders.
  • Identify problems or obstacles in systems and procedures related to research protocol implementation and communicate them to study investigators.
  • Assure compliance with all relevant Institutional Review Board and other regulatory agency requirements.
  • Assist in preparing Institutional Review Board documents and reports, and assist in evaluating and writing research protocols.
  • Collaborate on developing program materials, including educational and marketing materials, websites, forms, and reports.
  • Work with the Principal Investigator to develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive program databases and files.
  • Maintain the program timeline, including tracking deadlines for program components.
  • Coordinate program outreach activities, including acting as a liaison with community organizations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
