About the Job

Requirements

  • 8–12+ years of Order to Cash experience in a large, complex, international organisation, shared services, or consulting environment, covering Credit Risk, Pricing, Order Management and Billing, Cash Application, Collections, and Disputes Management.
  • Strong hands-on SAP Order to Cash experience across ECC and S/4HANA.
  • Proven accounts receivable automation experience with HighRadius and Esker.
  • A demonstrated track record of delivering transformation or major process or system change, not only operational business-as-usual work.
  • Ability to work independently, influence senior stakeholders, and operate effectively in a global matrix.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Fluency in English.
  • Ability to balance global standardisation with business realities, challenge the status quo constructively, think in a structured and pragmatic way, and navigate ambiguity collaboratively and resiliently.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the global functional design authority for Order to Cash and Banking process and system changes, making end-to-end process and solution design decisions aligned with the global target operating model.
  • Ensure global end-to-end Order to Cash process designs, policies, and standards balance efficiency, control, and customer experience.
  • Assess, approve, or reject proposed process or system changes to ensure alignment with the global design and transformation roadmap.
  • Maintain documentation of design principles, process models, and solution architectures.
  • Translate transformation objectives into roadmaps, milestones, and business outcomes, including cash acceleration, cycle-time reduction, service quality, and control improvements.
  • Shape priorities and sequence initiatives with the Associate Director of Order to Cash and Banking Design in line with finance transformation goals.
  • Partner with IT, Global Financial Services, business process outsourcing partners, and system integrators to ensure delivery adheres to approved designs, resolve design-level issues and escalations, and prevent solution drift or uncontrolled local variations.
  • Participate in design and stage-gate forums, providing independent functional assurance.
  • Serve as a functional subject-matter expert for Order to Cash processes, including Credit Risk, Pricing, Order Management, Billing, Cash Application, Collections, and Dispute Management, across SAP ECC, S/4HANA, HighRadius, and Esker.
  • Translate business requirements into functional designs and solution intents for IT and system integrators, supporting scalable, controlled solutions adopted in operations.
  • Ensure solutions are future-proofed for S/4HANA and advanced automation.
  • Identify automation opportunities from systemic inefficiencies and root causes using data, process mining, and operational insights.
  • Evolve standardised global Order to Cash processes that balance efficiency, customer experience, and compliance.
  • Integrate continuous improvement, using Lean and Six Sigma thinking where appropriate.
  • Assess improvements holistically across end-to-end Order to Cash and the enterprise rather than in functional silos.
  • Act as a trusted design authority for senior finance, commercial, IT, and Global Business Services stakeholders.
  • Provide direction and challenge to service partners to ensure transformation readiness.
  • Communicate design intent, rationale, and trade-offs to diverse global audiences.
  • Drive change impact assessments, stakeholder engagement, and adoption planning so new solutions deliver sustained value.
  • Support capability uplift across Order to Cash teams, particularly in automation, analytics, and exception-based processing.
  • Provide hands-on problem solving and take ownership.

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience working with Global Business Services or outsourced service models.
  • Exposure to process mining, reporting, and advanced accounts receivable analytics.
  • Lean Six Sigma or similar continuous improvement certification.
  • Experience supporting or leading S/4HANA migration programmes.
  • Experience in regulated industries such as life sciences or healthcare.
