About the company

Antler is a global early-stage venture capital firm that supports founders from day zero. It runs a 12-week program where aspiring entrepreneurs form teams, validate ideas, and develop viable business models through lectures, workshops, sprints, and coaching, with teams pitching to an Investment Committee for funding. The company earns returns by investing in the startups and taking equity stakes. What makes Antler different is its structured, end-to-end approach that helps founders build teams and rigorously validate concepts before seeking investment, rather than simply providing capital. It also has a strong regional focus in Australia, notably Queensland, where it collaborates with the Queensland Investment Corporation and the Queensland Government's venture fund to close the early-stage funding gap and boost local innovation.

Teen founder's cattle-herding drone startup GrazeMate raises $1.2M to expand into California

GrazeMate, an Australian startup that uses autonomous drones to move cattle, has raised $1.2 million in pre-seed funding to expand into California. Y Combinator led the round, with NextGen Ventures and Antler also taking part. Founded by 19-year-old Sam Rogers, a farmer's son, the company lets farmers pick a paddock in a mobile app and send a drone to guide the herd. The app alerts the farmer when the cattle pass through the gate, with no manual piloting needed. The drones also report on pasture, herd weight estimates, and infrastructure such as water troughs. GrazeMate has commitments to muster 1.7 million acres across Queensland and New South Wales.

PreScalar raises $7M from Dynamo and BMW i Ventures to fix factory firmware

PreScalar has raised $7 million in seed funding, led jointly by Dynamo Ventures and BMW i Ventures. Blue Wire Capital, Uplift Ventures, and Antler also took part. The startup's modular test stations let manufacturers test, update, and track firmware on the production line. Parts often arrive with outdated firmware, and factories must reprogram them by hand or send them back. Founded in 2025, PreScalar was started by former Cruise, Waymo, and Rivian staff who built similar systems there. It has won pilot contracts worth more than $100,000 with an AV company and an electronics manufacturer. The money will fund research and development, hardware manufacturing, hiring, and commercial deployments.

Norwegian AI startup Jenz raises $610,000 pre-seed to automate retail operations

Norwegian AI startup Jenz has raised €540,000 in pre-seed funding from Antler and Ada Ventures. It also received a NOK 1 million (€92,000) startup grant from Innovation Norway. Jenz builds an AI platform that pulls retailers' data from online stores, point-of-sale, inventory, accounting, and marketing tools into one layer. Its AI agent analyses sales, forecasts demand, automates routine tasks, and alerts staff when decisions are needed. Pilot customers have assigned more than 3,000 tasks across over 20 systems. Some reported saving up to 100 hours in their first month, and one retailer saw team capacity rise 31%. Jenz won the Norway AI Hackathon in June. It plans to launch in the UK within nine months.
