As part of a small, passionate, and accomplished team of experts, you will perform the testing, commissioning, operation, and maintenance of fluid systems associated with space vehicle launch facilities. Typical systems include high pressure gas, high pressure hydraulics, raw water and environmental control. This position will directly impact the history of space exploration and will require your dedicated commitment and detailed attention towards safe and repeatable spaceflight.

Responsibilities:
- Operate and maintain high pressure hydraulic fluid systems
- Collaborate with teams of diverse skill-sets to build, operate, and maintain a world class launch site.
- Author and run procedures for commissioning, maintenance, troubleshooting and fluid system operations
- Collaborate on system safety, perform hazards analysis and job hazards analyses; guide work using hierarchy of controls for safety
- Assist with oversight commissioning and operation of new or modified piping/pressure systems
- Occasional travel may be necessary.
- Occasional second shift may be necessary
Qualifications:
- BS degree in aerospace, mechanical engineering, or similar discipline
- At least 5 years years of relevant experience with design or fluid system operation
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate with teams composed of multiple roles and disciplines to achieve a common goal.
- Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
Desired:
- Knowledge of standard components, installation and fabrication methods of piping systems (pipe stock, fittings, connections, valves, fasteners, structural members, fitting, welding, etc)
- Knowledge of typical use, constraints, and specification of fluid components typical in tubing and piping systems (valves, regulators, pumps, etc).
- Experience writing and executing test plans and procedures for qualification, acceptance, and operations of hazardous and/or safety critical components and systems.
- Experience interpreting P&IDs, fabrication and installation drawings for piping systems.
- Knowledge of ASME B31.3 and in-field oversight of construction, testing and/or operations of piping systems .
- Experience with design and operation of typical aerospace fuel, oxidizer and high-pressure pneumatic systems.
- Knowledge of precision cleaning processes, cleanliness verification levels and passivation of stainless steel
