Assist with medical needs, including monitoring health, administering medication, and getting people to the doctor.
Drive people to and from appointments.

Overview
When you apply for a community support position, you're choosing not to limit yourself to a single role. Sometimes you'll be an advocate for people with disabilities challenging stereotypes. Other times you'll serve behind the scenes as an ally, assisting with meal preparation, personal hygiene or taking medication. You can put all of your confidence and skills to work while you support a person with disabilities to be his or her best.
A full-time schedule is 32-40 hours weekly and part-time is 6-30 hours. Available shifts include mornings, afternoons, evenings and weekends.
Full-time positions range from $18.90-$19.06 / hour. Part-time or Relief positions range from $18/ hour to $18.25 / hour
The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. The above range represents the organization's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.

Working Conditions:
Community Support staff work in a changing environment that adjusts to the needs of the people served. The environment may be fast paced with interruptions, distractions and deadlines. Direct support staff need to be flexible and be able to adjust to changing needs or activities. Depending on the needs of people served, the work can be physically demanding including transferring or supporting people with mobility needs, lifting or moving items up to 50 pounds and walking or standing for extended periods of time.
