Press play to listen to this content Jericho NY, October 2026 - LDI Connect Acquires Evolve Communications - Bringing voice, data, fiber, design-build expertise into LDI Connect's Pro AV, IT and Security Practices. LDI Connect, a leading independent provider of office technology and managed services, today announced it has entered into an agreement to acquire the business of Evolve Communications LLC, a New York-based low-voltage design-build and telecommunications infrastructure firm. The transaction closed September 25th 2026. Evolve Communications specializes in low-voltage design-build, voice, data and fiber infrastructure, AV, security and access control systems, project management, and business phone systems. Building on the capabilities of LDI Connect, Evolve Communication adds in-house control over the physical layer that its Pro AV, Security Solutions, Managed IT, and Cloud Services practices depend on - from structured cabling and fiber runs through camera, door, and access-control installation. "Almost every project we deliver - a conference room refresh, a camera and access-control rollout, a phone system cutover, an office relocation - depends on the cabling and infrastructure underneath it," said Robert Handel, Senior Vice President of Cloud Strategy at LDI Connect. "Bringing Evolve's team in house means we control that work end to end instead of coordinating it. For clients, that's one accountable partner, tighter schedules, and fewer handoffs on the projects where handoffs cause the most pain." The acquisition extends a period of deliberate expansion for LDI Connect, which has grown from its origins in print and document management into six connected disciplines and, most recently, added AI consulting and expanded managed security and compliance offerings. Scott Gerber, President of Evolve Communications, will join LDI Connect as Director of Operations and also brings the staff of employees that have worked together seamlessly for many years.
