  • 10+ years of experience in IT, with at least 5 years in cloud governance, security, or compliance roles.
  • Extensive experience with multi-cloud environments, particularly AWS and Azure.
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing governance frameworks in regulated industries, preferably within financial services.
  • Deep understanding of cloud technologies, architectures, and services.
  • In-depth knowledge of regulatory requirements such as FDIC, FRB, FFIEC etc.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence and drive change across the organization.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP), or similar are highly desirable.
Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive cloud governance strategy that aligns with the organization’s overall IT and business goals.
  • Establish and maintain cloud governance policies, standards, and guidelines for cloud architecture, deployment, security, and operations.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations, including FDIC, FRB, and FFIEC guidelines, particularly in the financial services sector.
  • Lead the implementation of governance policies across multi-cloud environments, including AWS and Azure.
  • Monitor compliance with established cloud policies and ensure that all cloud services meet regulatory requirements and internal standards.
  • Work with security, legal, and risk management teams to ensure data protection, privacy, and risk mitigation in cloud environments.
  • Identify, assess, and manage risks associated with cloud services, including data security, operational resilience, and third-party risk.
  • Develop and enforce policies around cloud service usage, access control, and data management.
  • Establish processes for incident response and recovery related to cloud operations.
  • Collaborate with IT, security, legal, and business teams to ensure that cloud governance policies support business objectives while maintaining security and compliance.
  • Act as a key advisor to senior leadership on cloud governance matters, providing regular updates on compliance status, risks, and improvements.
  • Stay abreast of emerging trends, technologies, and regulations in cloud computing to continually improve the cloud governance framework.
  • Implement automation tools and processes to enhance governance, compliance monitoring, and risk management in cloud environments.
  • Drive initiatives to improve cloud cost management and operational efficiency through effective governance.
  • Lead and mentor a team of cloud governance specialists and analysts, fostering a culture of compliance, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Develop training programs to ensure that all relevant stakeholders understand and adhere to cloud governance policies.
