Responsibilities
  • Work with the Fermi Gamma-ray Burst Monitor and Swift Burst Alert Telescope GUANO teams to search for hard X-ray to gamma-ray transients in real time and archivally across the missions' lifetimes.
  • Perform multimessenger and transient population studies.
  • Improve transient search pipelines.
  • Analyze large quantities of data.
  • Classify transients.
  • Conduct detailed studies of newly discovered and scientifically interesting transients.
  • Publish scientific results.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience with high-performance computing systems, machine learning, and gamma-ray burst monitor data analysis.
