Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in business or a related field from an accredited college or university, or equivalent direct experience with a production home builder or equivalent experience in a volume direct-sales organization outside the home-building industry.
  • At least two years of sales and/or marketing management experience.
  • At least two years of sales and/or marketing responsibilities.
  • A state license may be required.
  • A valid driver's license and insurance are required if an automobile is used for required travel.
  • Proficiency with word-processing, email, spreadsheet, presentation, database, and newsletter software, including Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Adobe software.
  • Ability to review, analyze, and interpret information and troubleshoot problems.
  • Business English fluency and ability to communicate professionally with internal and external customers orally and in writing.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize several tasks without compromising work quality or meeting deadlines.
  • Computer literacy and ability to learn new programs as needed.
  • Knowledge of sales processes, procedures, and Sales PRO concepts.
  • Ability to drive an automobile for required travel.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak fluently in English; sufficient hearing and vision to use office equipment.
  • Ability to occasionally lift up to 20 pounds.
Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership and management support for the sales team to help achieve sales and product-presentation goals.
  • Develop and provide ongoing training to ensure team members are skilled in sales techniques.
  • Function collaboratively as a member of the divisional management team.
  • Ensure sales objectives are established and achieved by each sales-team member.
  • Hire, develop, and evaluate all divisional sales-team members.
  • Conduct weekly divisional sales meetings to ensure the sales process operates effectively and efficiently.
  • Act as a liaison with homebuyers and support their ongoing satisfaction.
  • Manage sales and marketing vendors effectively and efficiently.
  • Resolve issues related to mortgage or other administrative functions.
  • Develop and implement merchandising, advertising, product, and community marketing plans.
  • Develop and implement ongoing competitive data by gathering and analyzing research.
  • Merchandise model homes effectively and efficiently.
  • Conduct market research to inform product-development and land-acquisition decisions.
  • Develop and maintain the divisional sales and marketing budget.
  • Work with peer managers to resolve issues and improve business performance.
  • Travel daily to and from various field locations and work periodically in an office environment.
