Evolving the traditional Wi-Fi networking solution into an AI enhanced Wi-Fi platform solution presents the opportunity to truly drive the transformation of how Wi-Fi platforms are architected, provisioned, and used. As a Senior AI Platform Product Manager for Qualcomm’s Wireless Infrastructure Networking (WIN) business you will define and drive a comprehensive AI platform strategy that enhances the features, performance, and revenue generating opportunities in our carrier, retail, and enterprise markets.
In this role you will work closely with geographically dispersed engineering, marketing, and sales teams to define the WIN’s AI platform strategy. Additional responsibilities include:
Identifying AI enhanced Wi-Fi platform use cases and business plans.
Working with SoC product managers to specify feature requirements.
Assisting the engineering teams in the specification, development, and creation of new AI. enhanced Wi-Fi platform features to ensure they become successful.
Driving an extensive ecosystem of third-party AI application developers leveraging the Qualcomm platform.
Identifying and specifying AI application SoC and platform software integration requirements.
Identifying and specifying AI workload orchestration requirements.
Defining AI model training strategy both compute and data lake architecture requirements.
Defining scalable AI model optimization strategy for mission mode inference.
Managing the AI application integration into WIN’s software platform life cycle from strategic planning to tactical activities.
Leading AI enhanced Wi-Fi platform product launches and release plans.
Developing key marketing messages around the AI enhanced Wi-Fi platform.
Maintaining subject matter expertise and internally/externally evangelizing AI ecosystems and technical trends that will have a material impact on the WIN business
Delivering presentations at technical conferences and to customers.
This is a business professional leadership role for a technically strong, experienced platform software product manager with a proven history of delivering 802.11/802.3 networking products into enterprise, carrier, and retail markets.
A minimum of 5 years of product management experience with complex networking platforms and 5 years of software architecture and development experience is mandatory.
Product Management/Technical capabilities include:
Experience with deep learning frameworks, including but not limited to TensorFlow, PyTorch, Caffe, Keras, etc.
Strong edge compute ecosystem experience, including public/private cloud, carrier central office, on premise, and on device.
Strong compute, network, and storage virtualize ecosystem experience.
Exceptional communication skills with an ability to quickly establish credibility and positive influence across a diverse array of technical teams in multiple geographies.
Experience working with RDMA/TCP/UDP/IP/802.3/802.11x protocols and working with drivers from various wireless vendors.
Experience working with Linux networking data path tools and processor offload architectures including OVS, DPDK, etc.
Experience working with networking data path services including packet filtering, QoS, packet classification, DPI, firewall, wireless IDS/IPS, traffic and application visibility, network instrumentation and telemetry.
Experience with managing/designing software that can support proprietary and open-source initiatives efficiently.
Experience with managing/designing software applications that can run across multiple platforms.
Experience with managing/designing software for reuse.
Experience with software modularization/test methodologies.
Education Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science (MS or MBA preferred)
