Requirements
  • Applicants must have completed at least one year of college.
  • Applicants must have established residency in Pennsylvania.
  • Applicants must hold a valid Pennsylvania driver's license and have a good driving record.
  • Applicants must have writing skills, video editing skills, production skills, reporting skills, videography skills, camera operation skills, and operations technology skills.
  • Interns must successfully complete a background check and drug testing before beginning the internship.
Responsibilities
  • Accompany the videographer on assignments.
  • Participate in daily news meetings and contribute ideas.
  • Shoot video.
  • Run the teleprompter or studio camera for live newscasts.
  • Edit video.
  • Develop shoulder boxes and graphics for newscasts.
  • Edit bumpers and teases for newscasts.
  • Learn to direct.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Desired Qualifications
  • Broadcast Journalism or an equivalent communications major is preferred.
  • A demo reel is preferred.
