About the job
- A high school diploma or equivalency is required.
- At least one year of experience in a Clubhouse, case management, or similar role is required.
- Basic computer skills are required.
- Engage clubhouse members in the culinary, maintenance, education/employment, media, and clerical units, including working alongside members to execute tasks.
- Work primarily in one assigned Clubhouse unit while rotating or working in other units as needed.
- Cook, complete job development, and teach computer skills.
- Facilitate and participate in the day-to-day activities of an assigned unit on a rotating basis, emphasizing consumer empowerment.
- Provide assistance, training, monitoring, and direction for members’ chosen unit activities and other program-related activities.
- Make programming available in a manner that models the mainstream community, including celebrating holidays on the actual holiday and providing recreation and leisure activities.
- Accompany members on group outings and social events.
- Maintain the assigned unit logbook with group notes, attendance sheets, and monthly unit schedules.
- Assist in facilitating program groups as needed on a day-to-day basis.
- Assist members in developing individualized plans reflecting their expressed personal goals as they relate to the Clubhouse and their general goals.
- Ensure members receive the support necessary to facilitate achievement of their indicated goals.
- Conduct community outreach and provide members with transitional employment support.
- Coordinate, supervise, and maintain member case records.
- Encourage and inspire members to work or attend school or training.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- An associate or bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred.
- Experience using various computer programs, specifically Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel, is preferred.
- A high level of comfort around people experiencing psychiatric crisis is preferred.
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills, including empathic listening and responding, are preferred.
- Knowledge of ICCD standards, motivational interviewing, and stages of change is preferred.
- Bilingual English/Spanish ability is a plus.
