Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in law, finance, business management, or a related field
  • 8+ years of proven experience in a compliance officer role, with a strong focus on credit card regulations
  • Deep knowledge and understanding of all relevant Federal and state laws and regulations, including, the Truth in Lending (Reg Z), the CARD Act, FCRA, Equal Credit Opportunity Act (ECOA), UDAAP, USA Patriot Act Bank Secrecy and Anti-Money Laundering Laws, OFAC, SCRA and MLA as relevant to Credit Cards.
  • Legal acumen to comprehend nuances of regulation
  • Past experience dealing with regulators and regulatory audits and examinations
Responsibilities
  • Monitor all credit card operations and ensure they comply with all relevant Federal and state laws and regulations, including, the Truth in Lending (Reg Z), the CARD Act, FCRA, Equal Credit Opportunity Act (ECOA), UDAAP, USA Patriot Act Bank Secrecy and Anti-Money Laundering Laws, OFAC, SCRA and MLA as relevant to Credit Cards.
  • Implement and manage an effective Compliance Management System (CMS) for Credit Card Portfolios.
  • Maintain a regulatory inventory of all applicable regulations, monitoring changes to these laws and regulations and ensuring timely implementation of necessary changes.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for regulatory agencies concerning credit card compliance matters.
  • Develop and maintain policies and procedures aligned with consumer protection and credit card laws, regulations, and processes.
  • Create and manage effective remediation plans to audit and examination findings and compliance violations.
