Requirements
  • Proficiency in computer-aided design software such as SolidWorks or Fusion 360 for part design and fabrication.
  • Basic knowledge of RS232, I2C, and CAN bus communication protocols and common embedded firmware concepts.
  • Hands-on experience with 3D printing, basic machining, and electronics assembly.
  • Experience with aluminum extrusions, sheet metal design, and computer numerical control manufacturing.
  • Familiarity with ROS or ROS2 and basic robotics concepts.
  • Prior experience assembling robots, drones, or other complex mechatronics systems.
  • Ability to work shifting schedules and travel to different U.S. cities from time to time.
Responsibilities
  • Assemble humanoid robots.
  • Design and fabricate custom hardware parts using computer-aided design for 3D printing, sheet metal, and computer numerical control milling.
  • Set up and route cables, power supplies, and sensors, including depth cameras, RGB cameras, and LiDAR.
  • Assist with firmware-level tasks and communication protocols to ensure system connectivity.
  • Build temporary testing platforms, create computer-aided design models for custom parts, order the parts, and oversee final assembly.
  • Work with senior engineers to conduct assembly, testing, and validation of robotic prototypes in the lab and at customer sites.
