About the Job

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and 8 or more years of experience in product, service, or program management or software development, or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to meet Microsoft, customer, and/or government security screening requirements, including passing the Microsoft Background Check and Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire or transfer and every two years thereafter.

Responsibilities

  • Run the post-launch feedback process by leading a cross-functional virtual team using an organization-wide framework to triage, deliver, and close the loop on in-market customer feedback, including incident and non-incident items, and help evolve the framework with partner teams.
  • Define the data model, metrics, and insights dashboards that show Product, Engineering, field, and support leaders the status, decisions, and impact of feedback.
  • Use telemetry, analytics, and artificial intelligence to combine feedback signals, identify patterns, remove duplicates, and assess impact and urgency.
  • Use automation to route feedback, maintain traceability, and shorten the time from intake to decision.
  • Coach peer product managers and partner teams to use the process consistently, measure adoption and quality, and improve the system based on results and feedback.
  • Combine post-launch signals from support, field teams, customers, partners, product usage, and research into technically and commercially supported recommendations for Microsoft Defender, Microsoft Sentinel, and Microsoft Entra.
  • Meet directly with enterprise customers, security operations teams, or identity practitioners when firsthand context is needed to clarify architectures, workflows, integrations, technical blockers, or expected product behavior.
  • Work with field, support, Product, Engineering, and subject matter experts to assess reproducibility, severity, scale, telemetry, workarounds, and possible root causes, distinguishing product gaps from configuration or operational issues.
  • Turn complex customer scenarios into problem statements, requirements, and tradeoffs for Product and Engineering decisions about quality, supportability, architecture, adoption, and investment, balancing customer impact with technical feasibility, dependencies, and capacity.
  • Deliver qualified feedback to Product Engineering owners, ensure each item receives a decision, rationale, timing, and accountable follow-through, and update field and support teams on outcomes.
  • Coordinate with support, field, and subject matter expert teams across the organization, bringing product management and support expertise without duplicating their roles.
  • Serve as a trusted technical advisor on security operations, threat protection, identity, and post-launch product health, explaining complex technical issues to practitioner and executive audiences.
  • Create an inclusive, collaborative environment and demonstrate accountability, customer focus, and a growth mindset.

Desired Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree and 12 or more years of experience in product, service, or program management or software development, or equivalent experience.
  • Four or more years of experience taking a product, feature, or experience to market, including design, product-market fit, and launch, or launching an internal tool or framework.
  • Six or more years of experience improving market metrics for a product, feature, or experience, such as growing a customer base, expanding customer usage, or avoiding customer churn.
  • Six or more years of experience disrupting a market for a product, feature, or experience, such as displacing an established competing product.
  • For Purview: Five or more years of experience working with data security, data governance, compliance, endpoint or device management, identity, cloud security, or related technical products.
  • For Purview: Experience turning post-launch signals from customers, support, product data, research, or product usage into prioritized product requirements or recommendations for Engineering.
  • For Purview: Experience analyzing technical evidence such as telemetry, logs, support patterns, reproducibility, severity, workarounds, or root-cause hypotheses to guide product decisions.
  • For Purview: Experience working with data protection, information governance, compliance, device and endpoint management, or identity technologies in enterprise deployments, including discussing technical tradeoffs with customers and engineers.
  • For Purview: Experience influencing senior Product and Engineering stakeholders across organizations without direct authority.
  • For Purview: Deep technical experience with Microsoft Purview, Microsoft Intune, or comparable data security, compliance, or unified endpoint management platforms, including implementation, architecture, support, engineering, or technical product leadership.
  • For Purview: Deep understanding of data loss prevention, information protection, data governance, regulatory compliance, device and application management, Zero Trust, cloud and hybrid architectures, application programming interfaces, integrations, and enterprise deployment patterns.
  • For Purview: Experience with post-launch product health, customer escalation patterns, supportability, adoption, or customer experience programs.
  • For Purview: Experience building feedback systems, insights dashboards, regular review processes, or ways to communicate priorities and decisions across large organizations.
  • For Purview: Experience using artificial-intelligence-assisted analysis, analytics, product data, and automation to summarize and categorize feedback and identify patterns.
  • For Defender: Five or more years of experience working with security operations, threat detection and response, security information and event management, extended detection and response, identity and access management, cloud security, or related technical products.
  • For Defender: Experience turning signals from customers, field teams, support, telemetry, research, or product usage into clear, evidence-based requirements or recommendations for Engineering.
