Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related engineering discipline is required.
  • A minimum of three years of experience as a Project Engineer, Field Engineer, or similar role in heavy civil or highway construction is required.
  • Strong understanding of construction methods, equipment, and materials used in civil infrastructure projects is required.
  • Working knowledge of Occupational Safety and Health Administration regulations and job-site safety practices is required.
  • The role requires high attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • The role requires excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • The role requires proven analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • The role requires the ability to work extended hours, including early mornings, nights, weekends, and occasional holidays, as required to meet project schedules.
Responsibilities
  • Assist in the planning, coordination, and execution of construction activities to support project schedules and budgets.
  • Design, review, and implement temporary works and construction means and methods with a strong emphasis on safety.
  • Inspect installed work, equipment, and materials; identify issues and coordinate corrective actions as needed.
  • Provide on-site direction and technical support to foremen, crews, and subcontractors.
  • Monitor project progress and prepare accurate daily reports, quantities, and documentation.
  • Perform quality control inspections to ensure work complies with contract documents, plans, and specifications.
  • Verify materials and workmanship meet project requirements and approved submittals.
  • Enforce safety policies, Occupational Safety and Health Administration regulations, and proper use of personal protective equipment on the job site.
  • Support project cost tracking, schedule updates, and coordination with project stakeholders.
  • Assist with communication between the field, project management, owners, and inspectors.
