About the job

Requirements
  • At least 8 years of product experience, including time as the senior-most product owner for a business line or product portfolio rather than a single feature team.
  • A track record of moving an enterprise product from low usage to genuine adoption, with results demonstrated by metrics.
  • Deep domain knowledge in healthcare provider finance or operations, such as revenue cycle, payer contracting, service line economics, hospital operations, pharmacy drug margins, or physician productivity.
  • Ability to take an abstract product concept from a customer or sales team, develop deep domain understanding, and quickly create a customer-presentable prototype for discovery and refinement.
  • Fluency with data-heavy products, including the ability to read data models and reason about potential data quality issues.
  • Direct experience shipping AI or agentic products in production, with a considered perspective on where they fail and how to make them trustworthy.
  • Ability to take clear ownership and make decisions in an environment that values individual accountability.
  • Executive presence with health system leadership, including the ability to engage CFOs and respond to challenging questions without relying on product jargon.
  • Ability to adapt quickly when priorities shift, work in unfamiliar areas, and take on multiple roles in a startup environment.
  • Experience using AI-augmented tools such as Claude, Cursor, Gemini, and v0, with specific examples of using them to work materially faster.
  • Bias toward action, including taking ambiguous problems to a working first version quickly and iterating based on real feedback.
  • Excellent written communication; most decisions are made in writing.
  • Ability to operate in a rapidly shifting, ambiguous environment and bring structured organization to it.
  • Willingness to listen, learn from teammates, and remain open to being wrong while building new products without an established playbook.
Responsibilities
  • Own the vertical thesis and roadmap, including which economic problems to solve, which products to build, their sequencing, and what not to build.
  • Design and build AI agents that take action in high-value workflows within the vertical.
  • Determine which agent actions can be autonomous and which require human oversight, and work with AI Engineering to maintain accuracy through real evaluations rather than spot checks.
  • Drive activation and be accountable for real users logging in regularly and acting on product information.
  • Connect the vertical to realized financial value, including recovered revenue, protected margins, and eliminated manual work, documented and confirmed by customer finance leadership.
  • Engage deeply with operators, including CFOs, revenue cycle leaders, managed care leaders, service line leaders, and department leaders, and turn institutional realities into product decisions.
  • Build on shared foundational capabilities, including stored contracts, external datasets, the context layer, and the agent harness, and push the platform team to improve those capabilities when needed.
  • Partner with go-to-market teams on pricing, packaging, and positioning, and participate in deals the vertical needs to win.
  • Write specifications, build prototypes, run quality assurance, and participate in onboarding sessions.
  • Grow the team around the vertical as it earns headcount and set the bar for product managers who join.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience with agentic AI work or personal projects.
  • Hands-on familiarity with Epic Clarity or Caboodle, Strata, Vizient, Premier, or comparable provider finance and decision-support systems.
  • Experience establishing a new product line from zero to one inside an existing company with existing customers to sell to.
  • Early-stage startup experience.
  • P&L, revenue, or quota-adjacent ownership.
  • Experience hiring, leveling, and growing product managers.
  • Background in provider-side consulting, revenue integrity, or managed care strategy.

About the company

Translucent offers a modular SaaS platform that helps finance teams manage multi-entity accounting. It connects to Xero, QuickBooks Online, and Sage via API to pull data into a centralized data warehouse, where information is harmonized for consolidated reporting and workflows. The product suite includes Group Reporting, Intercompany, Treasury, and Financial Close, with optional extra tracking dimensions for deeper data segmentation. Revenue comes from subscription-based access to individual modules or the full suite; the company targets multi-entity businesses that need consolidated financials beyond single-entity tools, aiming to simplify multi-entity finance operations and streamline intercompany, treasury, and month-end processes.
