Requirements
  • A post-secondary degree in Business, Finance, or a related discipline is required.
  • A minimum of 3 years of progressive experience in a finance role is required.
  • Strong accounting and financial analysis knowledge is required.
  • The candidate must be able to analyze data, identify trends, and provide insights.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills are required.
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities are required.
  • A high level of integrity, professionalism, and attention to detail is required.
  • The candidate must be self-starting and proactive.
Responsibilities
  • Analyze complex financial data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities, and provide actionable insights to support decision-making for business units.
  • Improve and maintain forecasting models to enhance financial planning and accuracy.
  • Review and provide guidance on technical work completed by accountants.
  • Prepare reports, analysis, and recommendations for senior leadership.
  • Complete month-end close requirements and ensure financial statements are published timely.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by enhancing processes, controls, and financial practices.
  • Prepare financial reporting and update disclosures for year-end reporting to stakeholders.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience with financial modelling and forecasting is an asset.
  • A Certified Public Accountant or other designation is an asset.
