HVAC Service Technician
About the job
- At least 7 years of service experience and the ability to provide a portfolio of work.
- A valid driver's license and an insurable driving record are required.
- Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams and blueprints.
- Familiarity with a wide range of HVAC equipment and troubleshooting techniques.
- Experience making repair-or-replace decisions.
- Knowledge of basic sheet metal practices.
- Knowledge of air balancing principles and techniques.
- EPA certification is required.
- Provide maintenance and repairs on a wide variety of residential heating and air conditioning systems according to company standards.
- Provide customers with a high-quality experience.
- Install and repair residential heating, air quality, and refrigeration systems.
- Review HVAC system specifications and explain product options to clients.
- Set up HVAC systems, including installing pumps and air ducts.
- Return periodically to check systems and perform preventative maintenance.
- Troubleshoot system issues, adjust system settings, and conduct performance tests using specialized tools.
- Sell maintenance contracts to customers.
- Provide the Service Manager with feedback regarding technical training needs, inventory, and retail pricing.
- Certificate of completion from an HVAC technical school.
