Requirements
  • Solid experience in back-end development with Java (Jakarta EE, CDI), Groovy, and integration frameworks like Apache Camel
  • Deep understanding of the Maven build lifecycle, including how it compiles the Java codebase and how to effectively manage complex cross-module dependencies
  • Hands-on experience with enterprise middleware, including application servers (e.g., WildFly), message brokers (e.g., ActiveMQ), and event streaming platforms (e.g., Kafka)
  • Proficiency in JavaScript and experience working with non-SPA front-ends; direct experience with YUI (Yahoo! User Interface Library) or the ability to quickly master a legacy front-end framework is essential
  • Proven ability to dive into a large, existing codebase, understand its functionality without complete documentation, and make targeted enhancements
  • Hands-on experience building applications using CI/CD pipelines (Bamboo preferred) and expert-level proficiency with Git, including branching models and strategies
Responsibilities
  • Full-Stack Development: Design, develop, and maintain front-end applications using our custom SCE UI framework (built on YUI 3 and Handlebars.js), which interacts with back-end services via REST APIs
  • Back-End Logic & Integration: Extend and configure back-end services SCE BE using Java (Jakarta EE, CDI), Groovy, and integration frameworks like Apache Camel. Implement business logic using tools like Camunda decision tables
  • Reverse Engineering: Analyze, debug, and reverse-engineer a complex, mature Java codebase to troubleshoot issues, implement new features, and perform refactoring
  • Collaboration: Work closely with business analysts and project managers to translate complex logistics requirements into technical solutions. Ensure all customizations are well-designed, documented, and tested
  • DevOps & Version Control: Manage the application build process, dependencies, and deployments. Strictly adhere to Git best practices, including branching models (GitLab Flow) and commit strategies
  • Release Management: Manage the end-to-end product release process for individual tenants, coordinating and executing deployments to deliver updates and new functionalities
  • Process Improvement: Actively contribute to improving team processes through rigorous code reviews, promoting modular configuration, and enhancing documentation
Desired Qualifications
  • Logistics Domain Knowledge: A strong understanding of logistics, supply chain management (SCM), or warehouse management (WMS) concepts is preferred to effectively understand project requirements and the existing codebase
  • Container Orchestration: Knowledge of containerization and orchestration (e.g., Kubernetes, Ingress) is highly desirable and will be given strong consideration
  • BPMN Tools: Experience with Business Process Model and Notation (BPMN) engines, particularly Camunda and its DMN decision tables
  • Web Server Administration: Familiarity with Apache HTTP Server is a plus
  • Modern JavaScript: While not the primary technology, experience with modern JavaScript frameworks (React, Angular, Vue.js) is a plus

Reply has announced a partnership with Mistral AI to develop sovereign and enterprise-grade artificial intelligence solutions. The collaboration focuses on accelerating adoption of local, customisable and secure generative AI on European infrastructure for organisations with strict regulatory and data protection requirements. The partnership combines Mistral AI's high-performance models with Reply's expertise in customising large language models using proprietary data. Reply will become a Mistral Forge global launch partner, enabling its teams to design and train models on specialised datasets. Reply reports $2.8B revenue, up 8%, proposes $1.53 dividend per share

Reply, an Italian technology consultancy, reported 2025 consolidated turnover of €2,483.6 million, an 8% increase from €2,300.5 million in 2024. The company's board of directors approved the draft financial statements, which will be submitted to shareholders on 23 April 2026. EBITDA rose 13.9% to €467.6 million, whilst EBIT increased 18.5% to €391.7 million. Net profit reached €250.9 million, up from €211.1 million the previous year. The board proposed a dividend of €1.35 per share, payable on 20 May 2026. Reply's net financial position stood at €467.6 million at year-end, compared to €349.1 million in December 2024. Chairman Mario Rizzante attributed growth to the company's specialised network model and artificial intelligence implementation capabilities.

Although 76% of firms have adopted AI in software development, only 20% have achieved pervasive integration across the development lifecycle.
