Requirements
  • Demonstrated progressive experience in a SaaS or software sales enablement role, with required experience supporting Public Sector, Federal, or State, Local, and Education go-to-market teams in a government or regulated industry context.
  • Working knowledge of Public Sector procurement, compliance, and contracting requirements, including FedRAMP, DAP, air-gapped or on-premises deployment considerations, and federal account routing.
  • Ability to consistently meet due dates and execute projects with positive stakeholder impact.
  • Experience building relationships with sales leaders and their teams within Public Sector or Federal organizations.
  • Working knowledge of sales training technology and methodologies, with demonstrable experience in sales enablement concepts, practices, and procedures.
  • Experience preparing, developing, and executing sales effectiveness strategies, tactics, and action plans tailored to Public Sector buying cycles.
  • Ability to quickly understand technical concepts and explain them to audiences with varying levels of technical expertise, including sales teams, customers, channel partners, and internal support partners.
  • Ability to interact with and influence field sales professionals and management effectively.
  • Written, verbal communication, and presentation skills.
  • Project management, change management, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Ability to travel if needed for team offsites or training events.
Responsibilities
  • Develop and lead the execution of sales enablement programs that equip internal and external Public Sector customers and partners with content, resources, tools, and training to differentiate and sell the GitLab solution across Federal, State, Local, and Education markets.
  • Partner with Public Sector field leadership to identify needs, build plans, and tailor and deliver content to federal, state, local, and education buying environments and procurement cycles.
  • Scope and build enablement content covering product knowledge, skill development, onboarding, leadership development, and other Public Sector business needs.
  • Collaborate with enablement content and operations teams and subject-matter experts to identify and develop core sales training and enablement curricula customized for Public Sector audiences, including compliance-specific content.
  • Align sales enablement activities with product releases, campaigns, industry trade shows, conferences, and other events relevant to the Public Sector community.
  • Use Salesforce, Clari, Claude, and other tools to deliver training to the Public Sector team and educate them on tools supporting federal contracting and deal processes.
  • Develop sales training job aids, supporting materials, and assessments to improve field effectiveness, including Deal Desk and compliance-related guidance.
  • Measure and report on the effectiveness of sales enablement investments and programs using leading and lagging indicators tied to Public Sector business outcomes.
  • Identify opportunities to improve the sales learning experience and develop innovative delivery techniques for a Public Sector context.

GitLab 19.4 launches agentic automation tools with 4x more efficient open-weight models

GitLab has released version 19.4, introducing agentic automation tools alongside Model Context Protocol server tools in public beta under its GitLab Duo Agent Platform. GitLab reported third-quarter results that exceeded expectations, with shares rising following the announcement.
