Requirements
  • A Master's degree in engineering from an accredited college or university is required.
  • Registration as a Professional Engineer in New Jersey or New York is required.
  • At least eight years of engineering management experience are required.

Responsibilities
  • Supervise the development of complex projects while meeting predetermined cost, quality, safety, and timeline conditions.
  • Participate in defining project specifications, planning implementation, and preparing project budgets.
  • Oversee technical and financial aspects of projects and coordinate the work of project participants.
  • Ensure development methods, timelines, and costs are followed during each phase.
  • Serve as the primary client contact and ensure contracted services are delivered on time and professionally.
  • Take overall responsibility for all aspects and success of assigned projects.
  • Identify unanticipated tasks that could increase project costs or delay the assigned schedule.
  • Monitor project progress; interpret, organize, execute, and coordinate assignments.
  • Establish project budgets, track actual expenditures against forecasts, implement corrective actions as needed, and prepare cost-to-complete estimates.
  • Ensure internal project quality assurance procedures are followed.
  • Apply current engineering principles and practices across the firm's work.
  • Supervise a staff of engineers and technicians.
  • Plan, schedule, or coordinate document preparation or activities for multiple major projects.
  • Support marketing, budgeting, financial management, schedule coordination, and resource allocation.
  • Perform preliminary engineering design and/or review design and drafting work by staff, project engineers, and computer-aided design operators.
  • Coordinate work with engineers and professionals within and outside the discipline, as well as support-services staff.
  • Assist with company-wide business development across the firm's practice disciplines.
