Requirements
  • A Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, or a related major, or equivalent experience is required.
  • Four years of experience providing design, management, and support in Microsoft 365 and System Center Configuration Manager/Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager or closely related experience is required.
  • Expert-level knowledge of Microsoft 365 workloads, including SharePoint, Exchange, Teams, Planner, Power Apps and Power BI, OneDrive, Streams, and Microsoft enterprise desktop applications is required.
  • PowerShell scripting experience is required.
  • A valid Texas driver's license is required.
  • The employee must maintain Criminal Justice Information Services compliance.
Responsibilities
  • Design, deploy, manage, and serve as the primary expert for the Microsoft 365 and Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager environment.
  • Administer and maintain Microsoft 365 collaboration applications, including Office 365, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive, OneNote, and Planner.
  • Serve as the Microsoft Exchange administrator.
  • Serve as the SharePoint file-sharing administrator.
  • Manage Microsoft 365 security administration in coordination with the security operations center.
  • Provide support to development teams using Power Apps and Power BI.
  • Seek and recommend improvements to existing Microsoft 365 and Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager architecture.
  • Create and execute PowerShell scripts to install or manage systems properly.
  • Apply changes and upgrades to the Microsoft 365 environment using the change-management process.
  • Ensure the overall security of the Microsoft 365 tenant.
  • Manage enterprise Microsoft 365 licensing.
  • Provide eDiscovery services for the County.
  • Author and manage Information Rights Management for encryption of sensitive information.
  • Implement and adjust data-loss-prevention measures as necessary.
  • Administer and manage Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager, including endpoints, objects, collections, deployments, and Software Center.
  • Work with team members to ensure endpoints have the latest security patches and updates for Windows and other enterprise applications.
  • Develop comprehensive test cases covering normal and degraded operations.
  • Coordinate within functional and cross-functional teams to apply expertise to solve problems, grow capabilities, and drive initiatives.
  • Participate in disaster planning, preparation, recovery, and testing as required.
  • Troubleshoot issues with vendors and evaluate vendor products, services, and suggestions.
  • Provide best-practice advice and guidance to management and across the enterprise.
  • Provide after-hours support for infrastructure-related emergencies and occasional weekend maintenance.
  • Perform related assigned work.
Desired Qualifications
