- Prioritize client and driver satisfaction and build long-term relationships.
- Maintain current knowledge of transportation industry trends and regulations.
- Manage relationships with key clients, coordinate shipping services and deliveries, identify new business opportunities within existing accounts, and communicate with clients and drivers to support smooth operations and customer satisfaction.
- Communicate with drivers about load information, purchase orders, maintenance coordination, performance counseling, and general company news and information.
- Ensure each driver understands customer requirements and company expectations.
- Manage the assigned fleet of tractors and drivers to optimize on-time pickup and delivery performance, out-of-route miles, hours-of-service compliance, driver availability, and special routing needs.
- Focus on cost control.
- Account daily for assigned trucks and drivers and maximize utilization.
- Develop and maintain relationships with assigned clients while understanding their transportation requirements and challenges.
- Serve as the primary client contact by addressing inquiries and concerns and providing shipment updates.
- Manage account documentation, including invoices and shipping details.
