Enable Injections wins first Japan approval for enFuse on-body injector via Sanofi's CirCLIQ

Enable Injections has won its first commercial product approval in Japan. The country's Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare approved the company's enFuse On-Body Delivery System through Sanofi's CirCLIQ Injector. The device delivers a subcutaneous form of Sarclisa (isatuximab) with the push of a button, for treating multiple myeloma. It is the first anticancer treatment given through an on-body injector in Japan. The approval follows recent clearances in the US and Europe. Japan approved Sarclisa SC in June 2026, backed by the IRAKLIA phase 3 study, which showed the subcutaneous form was non-inferior to intravenous delivery. "We're proud to partner with Sanofi to bring our enFuse technology to patients in Japan," said Michael D. Hooven, chairman and chief executive officer of Enable.

Sanofi, Regeneron expand alliance in up to $8B deal for immunology drugs

France's Sanofi and US-based Regeneron Pharmaceuticals will expand their 20-year partnership to jointly develop and market immunology medicines in a deal worth up to $8 billion. Regeneron will receive $1 billion upfront, with potential additional payments of up to $7 billion tied to development, regulatory, and commercial targets. The collaboration will add four next-generation immunology drug candidates invented by Regeneron, with one currently in early-stage trials for eczema. The companies will equally share development costs and future profits from new drugs, whilst their existing profit-sharing agreement for top-selling medicine Dupixent remains unchanged. The deal settles prior litigation between the companies and marks an early move by Sanofi's new chief executive Belen Garijo to strengthen the company's pipeline.
