Requirements
  • A master's degree in behavioral sciences and an active clinical license issued by the appropriate state licensing board are required.
  • Five years post-licensure or the ability to supervise training hours for licensure in the state of oversight is preferred.
  • In MHAR programs, a separate substance use clinical supervisor license or proof of knowledge in addiction treatment through education or experience is required.
  • American Heart Association CPR certification is required within 30 days of hire, with recertification every two years.
  • Nonviolent Crisis Intervention (NCI) training is required within 60 days of hire or transfer, with annual recertification.
  • Compliance with RCC and CBRF employee requirements is required as applicable.
  • Licensure consistent with academic preparation is required at hire or within an agreed-upon time period.
Responsibilities
  • Provide direct cognitive behavioral and other therapeutic services to patients according to clinical standards of care.
  • Document mental health services according to applicable regulations and payer expectations.
  • Meet with families and participate in education through regular support and treatment update sessions.
  • Provide consultations and case evaluations as requested based on area of specialty.
  • Supervise clinical staff, promote their professional development, and document supervision according to regulatory requirements and standards of care.
  • Supervise clinical staff with an orientation on clinical independence in practice.
  • As applicable, serve as direct manager for assigned staff and manage timecard and paid-time-off approvals, performance evaluations, coaching, corrective action, and professional development.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary treatment team meetings.
  • Train clinical staff to lead treatment team meetings and orient them to patient assessment, treatment, and discharge planning.
  • Maintain consistent service delivery by observing clinical processes and monitoring fidelity to clinical care provided in the program.
  • Develop and maintain standardized clinical program materials.
  • Conduct formal training within areas of expertise relevant to clinical care and best practice.
  • Conduct community seminars, lectures, and marketing activities to support business development.
  • Provide ongoing training, support, and coaching to staff members.
  • Promote outcome-based assessment and use proven outcomes to guide care recommendations.
  • Use and encourage the use of patient outcome measures to guide care recommendations, and monitor and share program outcomes to assess the health of clinical programming.
  • Develop and monitor clinical leadership standard practices using metrics and performance-based outcomes.
  • Assess and maintain the quality of documented interventions, including patient care plans, according to organizational standards and standard work.
  • Ensure documentation of treatment plans, hierarchies, psychosocial information, and completeness of the medical record.
  • Conduct periodic medical record audits to ensure proper documentation of services provided.
  • As required by the site, program, or level of care, participate in a rotating on-call schedule and respond onsite to urgent issues, emergencies, and critical staffing gaps outside regular working hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

  • Promote a respectful and honest team atmosphere through direct communication and active listening.
  • Support change and consider others' ideas and points of view.
  • Promote department goals and the mission of Rogers Behavioral Health, communicate goals to staff, demonstrate measurable goal achievement, and maintain department policies and procedures.
  • Participate in in-services, seminars, and meetings to increase awareness of Joint Commission and other regulatory compliance requirements related to clinical nursing education operations.
  • Participate in and support system improvement initiatives as directed.
  • Attend department meetings as needed, participate in discussions, and contribute to improvement activities.
  • May participate in Rogers research activities.
  • Respond to inquiries and complete tasks in a timely manner; communicate professionally, attempt to resolve peer issues constructively, and communicate concerns with proposed solutions.
  • Attend outside seminars or educational classes to support professional growth and meet continuing education requirements.
  • Comply with Rogers policies and procedures, including Human Resources, Infection Control, and Employee Health policies and programs.
  • Wear professional attire consistent with Rogers Memorial Hospital policy.
