Responsibilities

• Develop innovative solutions for operational and strategic changes, which is a business analyst’s primary role
• Understand the business domain and specific problems that software is targeting and use an adaptive approach (learning, discovery, feedback loop) to decision making
• May participate in presales calls and activities and will be required to use benchmarking to ensure accuracy of input.  A predictive approach is preferred. (Planning and baselines established early to maximize control and minimize risk). May also participate in a SWOT analysis. 
• Gather and document functional and user experience requirements (stakeholder analysis – Identify and analyze stakeholders who may be impacted by the change and access their impact, participation, and needs throughout the business analysis activities)
• Develop UI wireframes and functional workflows, as needed
• Drive adoption and integration through well-planned on-boarding, integration, and knowledge transfer experience
• Assist in expanding Planet’s portfolio to standardized offerings through the development and documentation of case studies, and playbooks that can be provided to prospects

Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree with 5 years of experience in supporting Information Technology projects.
• A Master’s/MBA degree is preferred for higher level positions, or a combination of education and experience required to meet the minimum requirement.
• Experience with wireframe and process flow development
• Experience writing basic SQL queries preferred
• Experience with automated UI testing and browser tools preferred
• Experience leading QA/UAT with large test groups.
• Proficiency in Microsoft 365 (O365) to manage projects and communicate with stakeholders.  

Professional License and Certification

• Certified Business Analyst Professional (CBAP) Certification preferred
• Microsoft Dynamics 365 Fundamentals and Microsoft Azure Data Fundamentals preferred, or the ability to pass the certification test within the first 6 months of employment.
• MS-900, Microsoft 365 Fundamentals and/or MS-102 preferred not required

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• The ability to analyze data models to deliver logical conclusions; visualizing data is required
• Should have the knowledge to be proficient in inventing processes or systems needed to implement changes and have complex problem-solving skills
• Should be able to produce a RACI matrix – Responsible, Accountable (approving the results), consulted (providing input) or informed of the completed item after it has been completed. 
• Should have a knowledge of SLM (Service Life-Cycle Management)
• Knowledge of ERP (Enterprise Resources Planning) to CRM (Customer Relationship Management)
• Ability to thoughtfully develop epics, features, and user stories using Azure Boards
• Professional with excellent communication skills, written and verbal.
• Must have the ability to proactively respond to internal/external questions and collaborate across internal/external teams.

Technical Abilities

• Must be able to support the collection and analysis of data for a business or organization, providing better solutions, technology integration or systems improvements.
• Should be familiar with the following BA tools: Azure DevOps, Jira, SQL Queries, Visio, Microsoft Excel and Word
• Should be able to use these tools for business analytics to take a deeper dive and help to identify weaknesses, alert policy makers to unanticipated events, fixing potential problems, and even forecasting future performances.
