Requirements
  • Having 3 to 4 years of relevant experience litigating issues under federal and state regulatory and administrative laws.
  • Demonstrating legal research, writing, analytical, and advocacy skills and the ability to interact successfully with clients and colleagues.
  • Adapting quickly in a dynamic, fast-paced work environment to multitask, manage deadlines, and proactively complete assignments.
  • Working independently as well as in a team setting.
  • Taking initiative, being action-oriented, assuming immediate responsibility for clients, delegating intelligently, and seeking opportunities for professional improvement.
  • Having achieved a law degree from an accredited law school.
  • Being admitted to practice in a United States jurisdiction.
Responsibilities
  • Serving as a key member of the litigation team handling matters across the firm's environmental, energy, transportation, airport, transit, land use, and Native American practices.
  • Devoting most work time to litigation matters while also handling non-litigation matters involving regulatory and administrative law issues as needed.
  • Working directly with partners and clients on public and private projects.
Desired Qualifications
  • Admission in Colorado or California, or willingness to become admitted in one of those states.
  • Experience in court hearings, trials, and discovery matters.
  • An entrepreneurial mindset with a collegial, team-focused approach to legal practice.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including attentive listening, active engagement, and effective communication of complex matters.
