About the Job

Requirements

  • A bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent is required.
  • Typically 8–12 years of experience is required.
  • Strong hands-on proficiency with BGP, OSPF, IS-IS, VPNs, and Segment Routing, including configuration, deployment, and troubleshooting, is required.
  • Practical experience using generative AI tools and the ability to identify and articulate their benefits for productivity, automation, and problem-solving are required.
  • Proven expertise in Python programming and UNIX/Linux environments is mandatory.
  • Demonstrated mastery of commercial networking test equipment such as Spirent and Ixia router testers is required, including automating test cases with their libraries, building network simulation scenarios and test topologies to validate protocol scalability, and assessing router performance.
  • Experience designing and integrating distributed software systems running across multiple platforms into a cohesive architecture is required.
  • A strong background in software testing methodologies is required, including test plan development and execution, debugging, and creating test scripts and tools.
  • Fluency in English and the local language is required.

Responsibilities

  • Own and drive system-level verification strategy for high-performance IP routing platforms, ensuring end-to-end product quality across software, hardware, and integrated systems.
  • Architect, develop, and document functional, scale, stress, and performance test frameworks aligned with service-provider and cloud-customer deployments.
  • Partner with software, hardware, and architecture teams to influence early design decisions and ensure system designs are testable, scalable, and robust.
  • Use generative-AI-assisted analysis to review architecture documents, specifications, and protocol behaviors and identify test gaps, corner cases, and validation risks.
  • Translate customer use cases and field-observed issues into validation scenarios, identifying gaps using domain expertise and generative-AI-driven insights.
  • Lead customer escalations by performing system debugging and root-cause analysis and driving resolution across engineering teams; use generative-AI tools to accelerate log analysis, pattern detection, and hypothesis generation.
  • Define and implement test-automation strategies that provide high coverage, repeatability, and scalability, and personally contribute critical automation where needed.
  • Apply generative-AI techniques to accelerate test development, including test-case generation, automation-code scaffolding, failure triage, and regression analysis.
  • Create directed and exploratory tests through examination of system software architecture, hardware schematics, and protocol specifications.
  • Establish, evolve, and promote verification tools, frameworks, and best practices, integrating generative-AI capabilities where appropriate.
  • Ensure conformance to product requirements, industry standards, and internal quality benchmarks; identify risks early and drive mitigation plans using data-driven and generative-AI-assisted analysis.

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience with core and edge HPE-Juniper routers is highly desirable.
  • Contributions such as white papers, technical blogs, Internet Drafts, or patents related to routing protocols are a strong plus.
