Requirements
  • A Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university recognized by the United States Department of Education and/or the Council on Higher Education Accreditation.
  • One to three years of related professional experience.
  • A valid driver's license and a reliable vehicle with valid auto insurance.
  • A Master's degree may be substituted for one year of work experience.
Responsibilities
  • Serve as a liaison between the Office of Admissions, academic units, and other university organizations.
  • Conduct outreach to recruit prospective undergraduate students.
  • Conduct admission presentations.
  • Set up and host workshops for prospective students and families on navigating the application and admission process.
  • Participate in recruitment events to provide admission assistance and guidance.
  • Bring prospective students and their families to campus.
  • Make calls to prospects and inquiries for admission counseling.
  • Communicate proactively with admitted students to encourage matriculation.
  • Determine admission eligibility by evaluating records, transcripts, NSHE policies, and official documents against appropriate criteria.
  • Recommend educational goals and admission requirements to prospective students.
  • Plan and manage recruitment activities in assigned territories.
  • Implement communication initiatives that provide individualized engagement with prospective students in target areas.
  • Identify potential barriers to recruiting and admitting new students, take action on those barriers when possible, and recommend actions for larger barriers to the Associate Director.
  • Provide leadership for special initiatives assigned by the Director or Associate Director of Recruitment.
  • Travel in and out of state and work irregular hours, particularly during peak recruitment periods.
