- Bachelor’s degree (or foreign degree equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Telecommunications, Applied Sciences, Mathematics, Physics, Management, or related field, and five years of progressive, post-baccalaureate work experience in the job offered or in a computer-related occupation
- Requires five years of experience in the following:
- 1. Testing and debugging Web or Mobile Application for iOS or Android
- 2. Black Box & White box test strategy planning and execution for both Functional Testing as well as E2E Release Testing
- 3. Testing background in at least one of the following: Functional, GUI, Integration, BAT, Black Box, Gray Box, Exploratory, Regression, or Smoke
- 4. Testing on Mobile platforms: iOS and Android
- 5. Testing on Desktop Operating Systems: Windows, macOS, and Unix/Linux
- 6. Web Technologies: HTML, CSS, REST, JSON, and JavaScript, AND
- 7. Development methodologies: Scrum, Kanban, BDD, and continuous integration
- Become a technical expert in the WhatsApp mobile app and source of information to WhatsApp Customer Operations team.
- Drive QA testing and bug bases with internal resources, as well as third–party vendor teams.
- Represent and advocate quality for products and features, assess risks, and formulate test strategies to ensure shipping features with a high quality bar.
- Partner closely with the engineering and product teams in planning, creating, and executing functional, regression, verification, and end to- end release test plans.
- Investigate, triage, and escalate issues surfaced from test runs during feature/product beta and alpha stages.
- Define quality metrics and implement measurement to determine test effectiveness, testing efficiency, and measure the overall quality of WhatsApp’s QA efforts.
- Continuously improve the overall efficiency of the ProdOps QA testing and triaging process, while updating and evolving the team’s workflow’s documentation.

Opposition to data centres has become a significant issue ahead of the US midterm elections, with voters unseating local politicians who support them. Residents cite concerns over water pollution, noise, power demands and environmental degradation. In Missouri, four city council members lost their seats over supporting a $6 billion data centre. Similar ousters occurred in Independence, Missouri, and rural North Carolina. The backlash crosses party lines, prompting state legislatures nationwide to consider bills ranging from eliminating tax incentives to construction moratoriums. Despite generating substantial tax revenue and construction jobs, communities increasingly resist these developments. Virginia, which has the most data centres, is considering eliminating sales tax exemptions worth $1.9 billion. President Trump has acknowledged affordability concerns whilst supporting development, though his proposals lack enforcement mechanisms.
Meta is raising prices for its Quest VR headsets by $50–$100 (12–20%) from 19 April, citing a global surge in memory chip prices affecting consumer electronics.
