Requirements
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Must possess a minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must have demonstrated skills in human services and services to adults.
  • Must be able to work within the organizational structure and accept supervision.
  • Must be able to work constructively with consumers, treatment resources, and the community.
  • Must have a valid driver's license, private automobile insurance, and be insurable.
  • Must have basic computer skills and experience with Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and an electronic medical record.
  • Must be able to work alongside a partner for the majority of work hours.
  • Must provide even-tempered responses to potentially volatile situations.
Responsibilities
  • Work on a MetroLink train or transfer station in Illinois or Missouri.
  • Collaborate with MetroLink Ambassadors, Metro Transit Security, and local law enforcement.
  • Engage riders in dialogue.
  • Screen riders for needed services.
  • Develop therapeutic alliances.
  • Provide crisis assessments, counseling, and intervention.
  • Provide situational problem solving and skill development.
  • Transport riders to services as needed.
  • Promote the recovery model of treatment, including trauma-informed care, hope, respect, empowerment, health and wellness, and spirituality and connectedness.
