About the job
- One year of bar experience working with a team of two or three and managing service during peak periods.
- Current knowledge of food safety and HACCP.
- Ability to place orders based on par stock and expected occupancy.
- Appropriate training for the function.
- Technical knowledge of primarily classic international cocktail-making.
- Experience in the role in tourist cruises, hotels, and/or restaurants.
- Fluency in English is required.
- Availability to board on the Douro River during the cruise season.
- Prepare and serve beverages to customers according to their needs and expectations in the bar, restaurant, and sundeck of the ships.
- Manage and organize stock and monthly inventories, monitor expiration dates, and promote rotation of slower-selling items.
- Comply with service standards and company standards, including recording sales and consumption, cleaning and tidying, and participating in duties shared by the crew.
- Knowledge of German and French is valued.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
